UBC Boathouse

John M.S. Lecky, UBC Boathouses - Richmond, British Columbia. Two state of the art rowing club boathouses, each building is 7,000 SF and houses training facilities, equipment storage and large social function room on the upper level. Both floating buildings are surrounded by 10,000 SF of plaza floats.

IMFS designed the Plaza floats with a sloping deck for easy launching of rowing sculls with only a 5 in. freeboard at water's edge.

Designed, constructed and donated by IMFS to the Atheletes of the rowing club. The Stone Boat as it's called, is a stationary practice scull.

Located on the Fraser River in Richmond, B.C. the Boathouse has an unobstructed view of the local mountains.
